What is important to us and between us

The Problem We are Solving

Too many are not able to live with the abundance needed and available. Having the basics in place in abundance frees us to hope, create and know joy. We will collect the insights of Brightmoor’s people and we will compile them into a statement, update the “Restore the Moor” and begin a plan of work. Impact is our mission. Not projects, life altering impact that comes when there is security of abundance.

The Vision: Every person in Brightmoor has abundant food, shelter, clothing and hope.

Our Purpose

We come together as contributors in building human wellbeing for all residents of Brightmoor. The Brightmoor Alliance focuses on wholeness because each, food, shelter, clothing and hope affects the others and the 8 dimensions of wellness.

Values

for this work with the community

We respect residents as first and primary constituents; we acknowledge by word and practice that residents have demonstrated the strength and ability to survive. We come along side by invitation, we speak with respect, act in partnership, move with permission, represent with honesty, transparency and commitment that the wellbeing of the residents and the community are as important as any other priority and more important than most.

Values

between each other

Working in a sharing way together and being concerned about each other, talking with peace to each other, not being two faced or hiding things, meaning what we say and saying what mean, walking what we talk, delivering in a hurry but not messy, making sure we don’t lose sight of the things we have to do “in the mean time” while we build a solid foundation for the future: Walk and chew gum at the same time kind of thing. We are open and flexible to wisdom provided both by hard numbers (empirical data) and the wisdom of life experience, letting both be in the recommendations we make.
